The phenomenon known as smart contracts is considered one of the technological topics that has attracted a lot of attention in scientific circles and the media in recent years. The present study, which was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method and a comparative approach with the help of library tools and the Internet, focused on expressing the transformational effects of self-executing contracts. The main question that the present study seeks to find an appropriate answer to is to what extent the aforementioned innovation is capable of transforming the formal and substantive structure of contracts.The findings indicate that the lack of precision in the precise use of specialized words and terms such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and even contract are among the factors inhibiting the accurate recognition of the aforementioned phenomenon; changes in the linguistic and grammatical structures of contracts, the dominance of conditional logic, the reduction of the effects of destructive human thoughts and emotions, and the reduction of dependence on public power in the process of contract implementation are among the most important formal and substantive developments that have been achieved in light of the smart contract model. Despite having the aforementioned capacities and capabilities, the aforementioned model has not met with general acceptance due to excessive complexity.
