Collective disputes, recognized as a form of social violence, are influenced by various factors. Examining these factors can significantly aid in the prevention and reduction of such behaviors. This research specifically focuses on socio-cultural factors, analyzing the role of social disorganization, structural pressures, violence-promoting subcultures, and social control in the formation and occurrence of collective disputes within Shahriar County. This study employed a quantitative research methodology. Necessary data were collected from a sample of 384 males over the age of eighteen. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire, whose validity was confirmed through both face and convergent validity, and whose reliability was established using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient and composite reliability. Data analysis was conducted using PLS (Partial Least Squares) software and the structural equation modeling method. The primary research question for this study was: "What is the relationship between social structure and the occurrence of collective disputes in Shahriar County, and how does the process of socialization influence individuals' participation in these collective disputes?"The research findings indicate that social disorganization, structural pressures, and violence-promoting subcultures have a positive and significant correlation with an increase in this phenomenon. Conversely, social control, acting as a deterrent factor, demonstrated a negative and significant relationship with the incidence of collective disputes. The study concludes that reforming social conditions, reducing social disorganization and structural pressures, and strengthening social control institutions can contribute to a decrease in violent behaviors and collective disputes. This research underscores the importance of social policymaking and active community participation in the management and control of these types of violence.
