In their most advanced form, a driving system is replaced with a human driver which takes control of the vehicle when driving. Regardless of the conventional issues of civil liability, what draws attention in the first place is the mechanism of compensation for accidents caused by these driverless vehicles. Therefore, the main question that we seek to answer in this article is: If the responsibility of the insurer is based on social cooperation, can the system of compensation for damages caused by automobile accidents that currently prevails in Iran's legal system be responsible for the compensation of damages caused by such automobile accidents? Relying on the descriptive-analytical method of research and the use of library resources, this article has reached the conclusion that the compensation system outlined in the Compulsory Insurance Law of 2016 which is based on social cooperation can handle this important issue, although it needs to be developed. تولید و عرضۀ خودروهای خودران از رؤیا به واقعیت پیوسته و استفاده از این نوع خودروها در بسیاری از کشورها رو به گسترش است. در پیشرفته‌ترین نوع این خودروها، سامانۀ کنترل و هدایت خودرو به‌طور کامل جای عامل انسانی را گرفته است. از‌این‌رو، قطع نظر از مباحث مرسوم موضوع حقوق مسئولیت مدنی، آنچه در بدو امر جلب توجه می‌کند سازوکار جبران خسارت ناشی از حوادث این‌گونه خودروهاست. بر این اساس پرسشی که در پی پاسخ آن هستیم این است که اگر مسئولیت بیمه‌گر مبتنی بر تعاون اجتماعی باشد؛ آیا نظام جبران خسارت ناشی از حوادث خودرویی که در حال حاضر در نظام حقوقی ایران حکم‌فرماست می‌تواند پاسخ‌گوی جبران خسارت حوادث ناشی از این‌گونه خودروها هم باشد؟ بر اساس نتایج حاصل از تحقیق حاضر که با استفاده از روش تحلیلی ـ توصیفی انجام شده است با تبیین مبنای مسئولیت مقرر در «قانون بیمه اجباری خسارت وارد شده به شخص ثالث مصوب 20/2/1395» بر مبنای «تعاون اجتماعی»، پاسخ مثبت است. https://www.jlj.ir/article_247659_0368df55745add92b72d5e0d7377a209.pdf
