The idea is that if free competition exists among activists at production and distribution of goods and services, economic efficiency and ultimately total welfare will increase. While this new branch of law has long provoked fascinating interdisciplinary discussions among economists and lawyers, the legal system of Iran has recently taken the first step in this field. So it is required that from now that the underlying premises and principles of this area of law are properly discussed and examined to pave the way for deeper future researches. Certainly one of the most important and basic questions about any new regulations which it is of a determinant role in interpreting their provisions, is goals which those regulations seek to achieve. Lawyers and legal systems have no consensus on objectives of competition law. Generally, multiple goals for the said regulations are conceivable that sometimes run at odds with each in execution stage. The following article, relying on Iran legal system is to explain the objectives of competition law. It shows that the “Soul” of competition law is the preservation of competition to promote efficiencies for consumers. <span class="1"><span lang="FA">از حقوق رقابت به عنوان یکی از ضروریات و عوامل مؤثر در توفیق نظام‌های اقتصاد بازار آزاد یاد می‌شود. تصور بر این است که اگر در میان فعالان عرصه‌ی تولید و توزیع، رقابت سالم حاکم باشد، کارایی اقتصادی به بار آمده و رفاه عمومی افزایش می‌یابد. در حالی که این شاخه‌ی نوین حقوقی، مدت‌ها است که مباحث بین‌رشته‌ای جذاب و پردامنه‌ای را میان حقوق و اقتصاددانان برانگیخته، اما نظام حقوقی ایران به‌تازگی گام‌های نخستین را در این عرصه برداشته است؛ از این رو تدارک مقدمات و تدوین قواعد بنیادین این حوزه امری ضروری است.</span></span> <span class="1"><span lang="FA" dir="RTL">یکی از مهم‌ترین و مبنایی‌ترین پرسش‌ها در خصوص هر قانون که نقشی تعیین‌کننده در تفسیر مقررات آن دارد، این است که آن قانون برای نیل به چه اهدافی وضع شده است در مورد اهداف حقوق رقابت میان صاحب‌نظران و نظام‌های حقوقی اتفاق نظر وجود ندارد؛ این مسأله از پرمناقشه‌ترین مباحث در این علم به شمار می‌رود. به‌طور کلی، اهداف متعددی برای مقررات مزبور قابل تصور است که در مرحله‌ی اجرا، گاه در تعارض با یکدیگر قرار می‌گیرند. این نوشتار به‌دنبال تبیین اهداف حقوق رقابت با تکیه بر نظام‌ حقوقی ایران است.</span></span> https://www.jlj.ir/article_11093_3722e31eaa9efae6938cc5c435365dfd.pdf
